Solia: talk it out, breathe, see clearly
An AI companion for mental balance for people who rarely get to see a psychologist — first in Asia and Africa. I led strategy, brand and UX/UI, and built the working product end to end with AI.

In 20 seconds
AI mental-health apps are mostly English-only, iPhone-only and cost $25–65 a month. The people who need them most are left out.
Solia talks in 8 languages, runs in any browser or as an Android app, keeps a memory you can see and edit, and costs $9 a month with a free tier.
A live product: web app, Android APK, landing in 8 languages, admin panel — and crisis help with verified local numbers in 42 countries.
The next billion has no therapist — and no app in its language
Where a psychologist is rare or unaffordable, a phone is often the only private place to think out loud. The leading AI companions are built for the US: English only, iPhone first, priced in dollars. Solia starts where they are absent.
Their language
Hindi, Vietnamese, Chinese, Portuguese, French, German, English, Russian. Replies follow the language of the latest message.
Any phone
A light web app and an Android APK. No App Store, no new phone, works on a weak network.
A fair price
Free: 10 replies a day, journal, practices, self-checks. Plus: $9 a month or $59.99 a year.
Four rules behind every screen
Listen first
Reflect what was heard, then ask one thing. Never a questionnaire disguised as a chat.
Memory you can see
Everything Solia keeps about you is visible, editable and deletable in one place.
Safety before intelligence
A crisis screen runs before the model. Local helplines are one tap away.
Self-help, not therapy
No diagnoses and no clinical labels — everyday words, tentative guesses, real exercises.
A 30-second check-in, then a conversation
The home screen asks one thing — how you are — and offers a calm way in: a conversation, a practice, a step of the day. The live ribbons are Solia’s presence: they breathe slowly instead of a mascot.

Every conversation ends with a recap and one step
Tap “Summarize” and Solia writes a short recap the way a good therapist writes a session note — but to you: what you brought, what we noticed, one small step for the next 24 hours and a fitting practice. Or just say it out loud: in voice mode the lines move with the conversation.

Practices that guide the body, not only the mind
Nine short practices from CBT, ACT, DBT and compassion-focused work: breathing with a counted rhythm, the physiological sigh, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, reframing an anxious thought. In muscle relaxation a calm glass figure shows exactly where to tense and release.

My balance — no forms, no manual logging
Solia fills the wheel of life from your conversations — you can adjust it with one tap. Under it, a psychological portrait built on recognised models: Big Five traits, attachment, CBT thinking traps, coping, basic needs, values, strengths and readiness to change. Every line is a hypothesis with a confidence level, never a diagnosis, and can be removed.

Notice change, not just moods
WHO-5, GAD-7 and PHQ-9 — the questionnaires specialists use — with a trend of your own results. Two weeks later Solia gently suggests taking one again. Every Monday a review of the week: check-ins, conversations, practices and what Solia notices.

Safety before intelligence
A screen before the model
Explicit suicide and self-harm phrases in 13+ languages are caught deterministically, before any AI reply.
Safety mode
The reply switches to a short, warm safety script — no techniques, no other topics, never methods.
Local help, one tap away
Verified crisis lines for 42 countries, detected from the phone; the help screen works even without signing in.
Honest positioning
Consent says it plainly: self-help, not treatment. The model is told to avoid clinical terms.

Growth that respects privacy
Invite a friend with a personal link: they get 3 days of Plus at sign-up, you get 3 days after their first conversation. Nobody is told who uses Solia and nobody sees anyone’s conversations — only counts.

Four supports, one whole
The mark is four frosted capsules — conversation, practices, balance and memory — that fold into one calm flower. On launch they assemble into the logo; on the landing they assemble as you scroll.

Liquid glass, warm light, one typeface
Frosted glass surfaces on a cool grey, a single typeface (Onest) for every script we ship, and one gradient — amber, rose, violet — that is used for living things only: the ribbons, the logo and progress.

A real product, not a mock-up
Built solo with AI agents in weeks, and shipped: email sign-in, a PostgreSQL backend, a chain of LLM providers with fallbacks, neural voices, an Android shell and an admin panel. The admin shows people, plans, AI quotas, promo codes and an audit log — and never the content of anyone’s conversations.
